First off, the space itself brings together so many vital resources for small business owners in the area like business advising, a commissary kitchen, podcasting room, 3D printer, meeting space, and coworking desks. BTAC really embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship and working together as a community so it was the perfect place to hold the 1st annual business expo.
The expo was a volunteer effort organized by representatives from both chambers of commerce, the city of Helper, USU, the BATC, the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, the SBDC, (and more!) and was definitely a labor of love to bring it to life. People in the area should consider themselves so lucky to have such amazing individuals on their entrepreneurial “team” because it definitely takes a village to start and grow your own business!

At the end of the night, instead of saying goodbye right away, I led the charge over to Helper Beer to try out the newest brewery and restaurant in town! I had traveled down the weekend before for the ribbon cutting and now I am a solid disciple for them! The menu and beer lineup both knock it out of the park so our group had a fine time breaking bread together and enjoying a brewski.
Then to cap off our evening, we walked up and down Helper’s Main Street to soak in the history. Thanks for having us! I’d say I’d miss you, but I can never stay away from this area for too long! 🙂 Until next time, |
